There are several Thin Client vendors around. Preferably nothing higher than 1920x1080.but that sort of defeats the purpose. If you have a look at the Endpoint used in VDI / SBC environments, you often see Thin Clients. In addition to that, if there are multiple GPU's (related to the same cause), turn off hardware acceleration for Citrix Receiver/Workspace on the local client machine: Īlso, another possible fix which isn't ideal, is to have every monitor (including the TV), have the same resolutions. We had no choice but to have our customer keep the VDA out of LTSR for now. After speaking and working with Citrix Escalation on this for weeks - it was undetermined when or if there will be a fix implemented for LTSR. Unfortunately, you'll no longer be on LTSR for the VDA agent.

In addition to that configuration change, try upgrading the VDA agent on the XenApp server/image to the latest, or at least 1903. In Citrix Workspace advanced configuration (right-clicking tray icon), on a per-machine basis, there should be DPI settings you can play around with (set it to "Yes"). I know you don't want to make changes on the server, but you might need to do in order to fix this. I've run into similar issues with display scaling, black screens/boxes, and multiple monitors with different resolutions.

I'm hesitant to mess with anything server-side, considering these 2 workstations are the only ones with the problem. Not sure if I need to change settings with the GPU tool (I'm assuming it's an NVIDIA QUADRO card). I am going to look at this tomorrow, but any suggestions? I'm thinking I'm going to try using an updated version of Citrix Receiver/Workspace, and mess with display settings. The Imgur link shows the problem (Ignore the white boxes, just note the black bar on the right-hand side) Now they've added 2 more monitors (1 ultrawide, 1 24 inch) and they're reporting the issue again, claiming they have the display scaling set to 100% on all (I haven't had a chance to look at it yet).

We figured out a workaround by changing the Display Scale on the TV from 125% to 100%, and that resolved it immediately. When initially setting this up, every time they'd launch an app with the Citrix Receiver, the app would be cut off at the end by a black bar. We have a user doing dispatch work, so they have a computer with an ultrawide monitor, normal 24-inch monitor, and a 46 inch TV as the 3rd monitor.
